FRAGMENTS OF REALITY
ZTWINS is a duo of twin brothers from Russia which creativity in the graffiti context started in 2007, and after their architecture’s studies, they start to observe and work with an abstract aesthetic, that moves inside the industrial sites and it’s made of light, shades and environment’s shapes. The duo in his art research applies the approach of maximising engagement with the space and the local surroundings, by working with the lines of the structures, so through the atmosphere that the resulting opera creates, the observer is immersed in his personal feelings and get a first-hand experience of the interaction.
Their analysis about the concept of the disconnection is focused on the roles of internet and technology, which are now so densely presents in our lives that everything around us can be just another virtual environment, made by a mixture of reality and fiction whose parts we can’t precisely perceive and define. The fragments of the room space fall apart like glazed tiles and reveals the ultramarine blue of the BIOs, (input/output system), while the canvases around show an abstract view, and like digital windows, disconnected from reality the observer, however characterized by industrial aesthetic combining with the winery aesthetic remained in the Winzavod’s space.
ОСКОЛКИ РЕАЛЬНОСТИ
ZTWINS - дуэт братьев - близнецов из России, творчество которых берет свое начало в граффити-культуре. Изучая архитектуру и преодолевая влияние субкультуры, они начинают работать с абстрактной эстетикой, характерной для промышленных объектов: она складывается из игры света и тени, полутонов и форм окружающего ландшафта. В своем художественном исследовании дуэт стремится максимально взаимодействовать с местным окружением, работая с линиями существующих в нем структур. Таким образом, зритель получает этот опыт "проживания" пространства из первых рук.
Художественный анализ ZTWINS сосредоточен на роли Интернета и технологий, которые стали столь значимы в нашей жизни, что все вокруг может обернутся просто еще одной виртуальной средой, синтезом реальности и вымысла, которую мы не можем адекватно индентифицировать. Пространство распадается на осколки - вываливается наружу плитками ультрамаринового цвета BIOs, напоминающего синее свечение экрана. Холсты, вмонтированные в индустриальное пространство Винзавода, повисают словно цифровые окна, отключенные от реальности наблюдателя.
