Dignifying the Mind, Body Spirit
For this years summit at Brophy College Prep. We are learning about how to dignify the mind, body, and spirit and in specific our Graphic design class was tasked to design the poster for this year. For our design we wanted to create a poster that appealed to some of the desires of the choosing community and we decided to use the x-ray. We were looking around through different kind of x-rays and determined that it would be best to use the hands because they are versatile in terms of the form they can be in. we decided that we wanted to use this one image we found where they were in the shape of a heart and from there we just experimented with the idea.
These were the hands that we ultimately decided upon:
Once we got the hands we decided that it needed to be modified in terms of color because we wanted it to pop more and just in general be a more colorful piece.
After the filter was applied we tried playing around with other pieces to maybe put inside the hands:
After Playing around with them we decided no of them really fit well and took away from the simplicity of the design so we removed them all, here's how it looked with them :
Lastly we choose between the blue at the bottom whether or not for it to be the box or the wave and we decided that it looked better as the wave so we went with that for our final:
