TRIPODE | Coffee table
Furniture Design, 2012

Tripode comes from that genre of contemporary research that prefers simple shapes and iconic, inspired by the mentality of Northern Europe which has always been a leading position in the trial design and architecture.
The table, designed in two variants with top round and square, and in two sizes big and small, highlights the possibility, through the use of production techniques and contemporary materials basically poor and noble at the same time, to give personality and originality to a model revisited several times.

The MDF top is made from a single sheet of paper, which is milled to obtain the rounded cones, which accommodate the vertical supports and which characterize the distinctive pattern of the product: scrap and waste materials are reintroduced into the production process (loop), in order to optimize resources and as a solution to the question of sustainability and affordability.

The almost endless possibilities to personalize the product through the combinations and combinations material / color (top and lacquered wood legs, top and legs to the natural wood top and lacquered legs, etc.). Alongside the ease of assembly / disassembly, possible through a design so simple and effective, taking advantage of the interlocking geometries.

This solution is underlined by the choice to embellish the bare surface of the top, with the eversion of the cones that house the 3 legs, reversing in some way the traditional view.
