My bachelorthesis "Eine Liebeserklärung an das Handwerk" is a photobook portraying nine craftsmen and their work.
I chose a wide variety of different crafts preferably rare or unknown. I visited every person on location to accompany them
for one day, taking documentary photographs and interviewing them.

The aim of the book is to drive more attention on craftmanship, to provide an insight into it for everyone, to create
an estimation and understanding for it and give food for thought concerning consumption.
The Design appears haptic, handmade, high-quality and authentic such as handicraft products themselves. To gain those
effects the book is handbound with a thread binding and the cover is upholstered with handmade paper and embossed.
The photographs are documentary and there are handwritten quotes by the craftmen themselves.
