Every year in the UK we throw away 7.2 million tonnes of food and drink, over half of which could still have been eaten. One of the reasons for this is that we forget to eat the food in time and are afraid of eating it past the Best Before date.
The project KEEP/ME is an educational campaign with the goal of reducing food waste by making people aware of what the Best Before date means and that many types of food can be consumed safely after this date.
The campaign bears the title KEEP/ME, because it is supposed to motivate people to keep food after its Best Before date and taste it before they waste it, so one Line is TASTE ME BEFORE YOU WASTE ME. I want the food to be personalised to get more empathy from the consumer for it.
