Best PaperMan Cover was a graphic design competition for the cover of the PaperMan magazine published up to two times a year. The publishing company Antalis is known for its distribution of paper, packaging and visual communication products.
The task was to create an attractive eye-catching cover with the only obligation to use paper from their creative-paper collection.
The task was to create an attractive eye-catching cover with the only obligation to use paper from their creative-paper collection.
Due to the company's distribution of mainly paper, I felt paper should play a major role on the cover. In my opinion, the cover should show what is the company about at first look. That led me to the concept of strong abstraction and a spatial effect, created by papercutting and layering.
