M I K A D O
Mikado is a project which brings together two of the oldest games in a single 3D board: Chinese checkers and chopsticks. The packaging is inspired by Potala, a majestic temple, former residence of the Dalai Lama and by the sculpture of David Umemoto. The board is made from wood and assembled and painted by hand. The boxes include the pieces for both games which can be played on the bottom of the box. Thanks to my teacher, Rommel Gutiérrez and Juan Diego Cervantes.

Mikado es un proyecto que reúne dos de los juegos de mesa más antiguos en un tablero: Damas chinas y palillos chinos. El packaging está inspirado en Potala, un templo y la antigua residencia del Dalai Lama. Mikado también está inspirado en el arte de David Umemoto. El tablero es de madera, ensamblada y pintada a mano. Las cajas incluyen las piezas para cada juego, con el tablero de juego en la parte inferior. Gracias a Rommel Gutiérrez y a mi primo, Juan Diego Cervantes.
