In this project, we were assigned to design a poster to raise awareness of an issue in Taylor's University. The issue that I chose was students littering rubbish on campus, and not cleaning after their mess. I used Adobe Illustrator to design the poster and this is the final outcome.

I was inspired by Taylor’s Graduate Capabilities logo for this design, which is the human
head that display the shape of the brain. As the saying goes, ‘clearing clutter clears the mind’. I decided to have human silhouette in the poster with the shape of the brain displayed in white color. By leaving a small gap on the skull, I put a mini human on top of the head, throwing trash into the mind. The brain too consists of all sort of trash to show how being in bad environment gives us unnecessary stress. I used the quote that says ‘Don’t Litter. Embrace Healthy Intrapersonal Skills’ as it is short but meaningful. I also added texture to the background, and the background color is not exactly as red as the one being used for Taylor’s University, but it looks more interesting that
way.

In conclusion, I do believe that with lesser act of littering, Taylor’s University can be a
better place for everyone and the students can also exceed in managing themselves and being reflective. Expecting everyone to be aware of this matter and change immediately is definitely not a good thing to do. However, there will be someone noticing the poster, making up their mind to train their intrapersonal skills and that will be a tiny beginning. Even a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.
