A chair that looks like the seat has weak supports, and thus gives the illusion that the seat floats just above the structured aluminum frames. The float chair is slender in design, yet uncompromising in comfort. Shaped from solid ash, the float chair curves to the form of the body while ensuring a minimal amount of timber is used - the edges are chamfered to give extreme comfort and to illustrate an organic shape.
A thick rubber pad is also placed just beneath the seat, where the powder coated aluminum frame is bolted to the solid oak, to strengthen the support and provide cushioning. Another contrasting element is the molded tpu that wraps around the powder coated frame at the base, and comes in contact with the ground to avoid direct contact between the steel and the ground.
