This assignment required us to develop a series of photographs for a publication of our choice (this publication could be existing or fictional). The choice of publication was the major influence over the direction of our project For example someone could choose Cuisine Magazine as their publication and would then perhaps choose to explore food photography and styling. I chose the concept of a Photobook as my publication and I chose to explore brands and signs. I approached this in two parts - one part documenting the 'oasis' presented by convenience type shops at night with their numerous signs and techniques of enticing customers in. Part Two dealt with the concept of the consequence of these places and photographing numerous examples of 'waste' that were also covered in signs.
