Using a toxic waste sweet barrel, i went through the process of compiling all the imagery that I printed and managed to create a concertina styled photo-book within the oil barrel. I had to sand down and spray the oil barrel to get this efffect, originally was bright yellow and green slime.
Using marbling inks, linked really well with the overall oil themed project. It created great effects and I was able to screen print upon the marbled paper. I decided to use the clip from an old clipboard and create my own - to resemeble the idea of the stats and graphs about oil within a clipboard.
Inside consisted of the top 5 oil producing countries booklet and prints of oil disasters and imagery with the use of oil.
Range of prints all on marbled paper.
I had to create a Japanese stabbed stitched book with prints to show my book making skills.
Playing around with material and screen printing, I decided to use my old decorating jeans to resemble the hard labour of oil mining and stereo type of wearing jeans when working upon an oil rig. This worked really well however when you glue it onto the book board it stretches and warps the type.
