Recent visit to different corners of the capital of India was one of the most memorable experience in my journey of art. I spent nearly the whole day to visit various monuments and iconic places which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also spiritually and mentally pleasing. I made sure i could use the sunlight for the best possible view and hence started of the day by 6 in the morning.
First stop, Purana Quila(fort). I hadn’t planned visiting here at all and it was a pure coincidence that other places were shut down due to various reasons. So i entered the fort and the dome shaped building caught my eye which was secluded from the fort area.
Second stop, Red Fort. Half an hour drive from Purana Quila brought me to Red Fort where i had to wait for the entry tickets for quite a while and hence it was time for another quick sketch. Sketched two buildings here. People were curious to know if i was doing it for someone or i am getting paid for the same. A gentleman, who was there photographing every inch, approached and was kind enough to appreciate my work.
Third stop, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk. Few minutes walk from Red Fort got me to Jama Masjid and i was lucky enough to have entered before the sunset prayer which is the last one for women to enter a Mosque and had gotten a few minutes to sit down and sketch the Masjid.

Here are the results and behind the scenes.
