We were commissioned to create and direct the main identity for the 9TH edition of
the CUTOUT Festival, one of the most important events in Mexico dedicated to promote cutting edge Animation, Digital Art, Illustration and Street art. The festival took place in Querétaro, Mexico. The main theme of the event was technology and its relation with human beings. We created a visual language based on glitches and errors and a main character that represents an artificial intelligence system which was the voice and image of the event. We developed the project in two stages, one was designing all branding assets and the call for entries poster. Then we evolved that character with 3D inspired aesthetics for the main poster of the actual event. The last phase was creating the stationery and extra material for the event.
Special thanks to Miguel Del Moral, Bianca Peregrina, Abraham Lule, Pepe Castañeda and everyone involved in this project we had a lot of fun creating the main visual Identity for such a great festival.
