Kumbh mela is a Hindu religious event held in a three year cycle in four Indian cities. It is the biggest gathering in the world for a religious event. So every three years a temporary city pops up along the banks of India's holiest rivers to cater to the pilgrims, numbers of which go upto a few millions.
