This was an interactive book project for my Publication Design class, where we were prompted to design around themes from Grimm's Fairy Tales. I worked with stories that revolved around the number three.

 

This was my first time ever trying my hand at watercolor illustration, and from this project, I have grown exponentially.

 

The interactive element was a paper volvelle/iris gadget that, along with was meant to invoke a sense of the industrial era from which these tales are from. Yet again, despite being a children's book, it is a bit on the gritty side.
