A school assignment : making a poster for an event 

The event I chose was Japanese Film Festival.

I wanted to create a more Japanese-y feeling poster but the actual aim for this assignment was how well I can play around with the compositions and use of different typefaces. Therefore I decided to focus on those 2 aspects. 

My concept came about of Japanese posters which frequently have words scattered about but still in an very organised feeling. The harsh part was 

1. getting the letters to look neat and readable while being all over the place and

2. surprisingly, the colour choices.
