In 1971, the Waldos met one afternoon at 4:20 in the front courtyard of their school near the statue of Louis Pasteur. They set out in a '66 Impala armed with a "treasure map" on a journey to find a secret garden near Point Reyes. They met there at the same time every day and continued their quest. They never found the secret garden....But they keep lookin'. The dankest and hoppiest beer ever brewed at Lagunitas was made with help of the Waldos for all treasure hunters.

I was tasked with telling the story of the Waldos and the history of 420 through the Lagunitas lens. I worked with comic artist James Yamasaki to produce a limited-edition comic book detailing the history of the Waldos and Lagunitas, and released it with an expanded video element featuring interviews with the original Waldos and the founders of Lagunitas (with the help of the amazing Dinolion production house).

With every new beer release, and especially with beer-fan-focused releases such as the Waldos' Special Ale, I sit with the Lagunitas BrewMonster Jeremy Marshall to shoot, produce, and edit our long-running series of #MouthFeels flavor videos.
