Illustrated Type Project

Illustrated Type Project

This piece was created for a digital illustration class that I took in the fall. The goal of this project was to explore an area of interest and create a piece that explored this area in a new way. I immediately was drawn to text and hand-lettering and the various ways type can portray meaning. I was interested in illustrating type in a way that does not literally portray meaning, but where supporting imagery can add to and enhance the meaning of key words. Scrolling is fully intended to be part of the narration.

I chose to illustrate this passage of Scripture because it has always left a chilling feeling within my bones. Please enjoy.
