Icosahedron Puzzle (W.I.P.)

A classroom project, where the task was to take Geometric shapes and use it into making a solid puzzle.
Taking Icosahedron as inspiration
Icosahedron is a Platonic solid.
Has 20 faces, 12 vertices and 30 edges.
That also means its made up of 20 tetrahedron joined together.

PROTOTYPING
Exploration on making puzzle, using paper, glue, tapes and sticks.
On right, is the type of puzzle I wanted to make for icosahedron solid.
On left, is my trials on making modules for the puzzle combining different tetrahedron.
Left:Joining 20 tetrahedron pieces in a way that is folds inside to form Icosahedron.
Middle: Closed form after putting all pieces together.
Right: Comparing and trying to understand the Solid as well as skeleton of Icosahedron.
Trying to understand the geometry, changing measurement to fit tetrahedron into a icosahedron.
Ideas for surface maze on the 3D solid.
Ideas for visuals or maze.
Prototype making: Adding graphics/maze on the surface to make it either difficult or easier as a 3D Puzzle.
Prototype and work on Packaging.
