Project Description: 

Civil war cannons are used in the reenactments at the Genesee Country Village & Museum (GCVM) ranging from more simple artillery displays to full battle reenactments. While most standard battle reenactments are done in open fields, GCVM, in a display rarely seen, brought the cannon fire into the village. It continued until 2015, when damage to the old glass windows and plaster on the buildings seemed to increase with the cannonfire being so close. Cannonfire was brought out of the village in 2015 due to these concerns. The goal for this Senior Design group is to find a solution that allows cannons to be brought back into the village.
