Vintage Cycles
Vintage Cycles is a bike rental in Martinborough New Zealand. The region of Martinborough is known for its wineries and over the weekend visitors come to rent a bike as part of their wine tasting tour. The difference of vintage cycles compared to other local bike rentals is its focus on New Zealand made bikes from the 70s. We developed a badge logo for the owner which was used as part of the business cards, external signage, T-shirts and bags.
Challenge: To develop a logo and branding strategy which emphasise the focus on New Zealand vintage bikes without copying the style of the 70s.
Solution: We chose a playful approach to the different material qualities of the design elements. The business cards have a copper imprint of the logo while the t-shirts and bags use a stitched version of it. For the external branding, a focus has been to create a subtle three-dimensional effect by adding multiple layers to the logo.
