Life. Eternity. Energy. We live inside the universe and it lives inside us. The energy of the universe comes through everything: the sun, planets, continents, islands, cities, trees, animals and human beings. It unites everything like an invisible thread. The entire accessible world has been explored and described. All the connections have been found, but the knowledge is lost in uncertainty of terms, which meaning was changed during the historical development of language; it is lost in the opposition of the young European and the ancient Asian civilization.

We are trying to regain the ancient method of visualization of knowledge, using traditional and modern symbols. It is a kind of collector of the available language. All the forgotten primitive symbols look really modern and clear, since words and letters become a secondary language system. In our everyday life we don’t need the ability of careful reading if we want to do something. The internet made the nature of communication and interaction different. Now we simply exchange clear and abstract symbols with each other. The language as it used to be does not exist anymore, it is getting simpler. So there is a possibility to unify the information interchange using traditional and modern symbols. We can put ideas into images.

The main point of our work is searching and conceptualization of the elements, which our universe is based on. They are evident like night and day. They are mentioned in lots of different cultures and civilizations. These elements are Fire, Water, Earth, Air. The fifth element has different names – prana, quintessence, vacuum. We can observe the first four elements, while the last one is beyond our European understanding. However the fifth element is the connection between the four. Our aim is to reveal the knowledge about the last element and to unite our inner essence with the outer world.

SWEATSHIRTS ARE MADE BY

We used sweatshirt as basic clothes, which could be considered as the second skin of a contemporary human being. We tattoo the symbols on the skin surface fixing the knowledge for ever. That’s how we try to understand the communication between the conscious outer world and the unconscious inner world. The fifth element will give us the ability to balance the worldview.

Mon Repos or "Monrepos" (Russian: Монрепо́) (French "my rest", here written in one word) is a manor house and landscaped English park in Vyborg. The park lies along the shoreline of the Zashchitnaya inlet of the Vyborg Bay in Vyborg, Russia, about 129 kilometres (80 mi) from St. Petersburg and occupies about 180 hectares (440 acres) of land. Between 1788, when Ludwig Heinrich von Nicolai bought it, and 1943, "Monrepos" was owned by the family of Baron Nicolai (better Nicolay). The historic core of the museum complex is a manor from the early 19th century. This consists of the Main house and the Library house, monuments of wooden classical architecture, and the landscape rock park designed in the romantic style, and which remains a unique monument of gardening art. Among the park designers were such architects as D. Martinelli, Auguste de Montferrand, A. Shtakenshneider, Ch. Tetam, artists Ya. Mattenleiter, and P. Gonzago. The area of the park is marked by special physical and geographical features, like the old Wiborgite granite, which is named after Vyborg, and glacial formations of up to 20 metres (66 ft) high. In this nature reserve, 50 species of different plants can be found, some of them being rare. Its fauna is diverse as well: the park abounds in numerous birds and animals.

EXHIBITION

The exhibition approaches the concept of ANIMISM from a contemporary perspective. Animism is a body of knowledge founded upon the belief that the things around us are infused with more than mere existence. It shall make us realize that natural objects, natural phenomena, and the universe itself possesses a soul. Showing that the hills, valleys, waterways and rocks are spiritual beings, as are the plants and animals. Furthermore it believes that there are other, less obvious spiritual beings, not commonly associated with the phenomena of everyday experience.
