SONU ECOLOGICAL ACOUSTIC PANELS
SONU - are the ecological acoustic panels made of wood fibers.
How they are made? Wood is defibered, forming water solution and then pressed in a hydraulic press to remove excess moisture. The production technology is similar to that of fibreboard, but with SONU panels the pressure can be reduced from 18 mPha to just 1 mPha, this reducing power consumption. Fibreboard is pressed with the addition of resins to reinforce the material, SONU does not need any artificial additives - it is 100% ecological. Class A, i.e. the First Class of acoustic performance of this type of material with a density of both 200kg/m3 and 400kg/m3 is the ideal acoustic solution for apartments as well and offices.
How they are finished? The panels are finished with linen already at the pressing stage, which limits the number of production stages to a minimum. SONU not only soundproof, but are also aesthetic thanks to the linen finish, which gives unlimited possibilities of color variations. Apart from aesthetic aspects, linen is also a bactericidal, hygroscopic and anti-allergic material.
The project was developed thanks to the cooperation between the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Praga Museum of Warsaw.
