The first thing that Yiannis Sakaridis told me when he started briefing me about his upcoming movie,
was that the main clue was the desire of the tired hero to go back home, back to his village where his favorite tree
lays, and stay there forever.
When I first watched the ‘’wild duck’’
I realized that I didn’t want to do a traditional movie poster with the protagonists or the most impressive scene.
Instead, the depth of the character was inviting me to illustrate the psyche of the hero , the ‘’wild duck ‘’ alter ego of his, and the psychological as well as the actual burden that he is carrying (he always has this weird frequency scrambling machine, with him). And of course, all these should be carefully placed around the uterus of his desires, that tree..
