After successfully responding to The Woken Trees' brief in regard to designing their debut album, I have been selected to complete the initial vinyl record artwork. I wanted a look that reflected on their dark musical direction, which led me to apply an upsetting, yet substantial tone of voice. Inspired by their video clip »Yells« I based my idea around the relationship between the decomposing characteristics of nature and the living world by implementing the wild boar skull into the bark surface.

The album was released by Fuzz Club Records in collaboration with Pad & Pen Records in March 2013.
