I was asked by the art department to create the a promotional poster for Ripon's next exhibiting artist, Zane York. Ironically enough, the art department tends to be my most restrictive client, letting me get away with less than any other group on campus. This is a case where the first comp I presented (that showcased the phenomenal lowercase letter forms of Pistilli Roman) was flat-out rejected, but I am still satisfied the the final edition that went to press.
1st Comp: REJECTED (Doesn't appeal to our target audience)
2nd-3rd Comp: ACCEPTED.
