The entire pre-production, location scouting, and filming were done of the course of 3 days. Two 45 minute class periods were used to write the script, location scout, cast, and other organization. Filming was done during the class exam period encompassing 2 hours during school, and the dark scene 20 minutes before school. 

The process then evolved onto editing, VFX, sound FX, color grading, and producing the final cut.

The focus of the project was more on the cinematography rather than the VFX, which is why the preexisting effects from the original trailer were used instead of newly generated ones.
