The Esports fever has arrived. In America, one of the most innovative sports club  
had the pioneering vision to get on board.

THE IDEA
River Play, an innovative Esports Platform for the Argentinian club River Plate. 

THE RESULTS
On October 7th2016, Argentinian club River Plate became the first club in America to recruit a pro FIFA/PES player by signing up Franco Colagrossi.
Itwas announced by River Plate President Rodolfo D’Onofrio and 7 players from the First Team at a Press event broadcasted live on Facebook and media coverage ranges from Fox Sports to TV Pública to Olé newspaper to As from Spain.
The club’s second Esports player was born among River fans from River Play Cup, the biggest Esports tournament in Argentina with 23.000+ online qualifying matches and 512 players in the final rounds at the club’s Monumental Stadium.
The riverplayers jumped into the field at Monumental Stadium during one of the biggest derbies of the world: River vs Boca. 30.000+ River’s supporters enjoyed historical derby goals recreated by the riverplayers on the stadium screen.
On August 7th2017, River Plate was once again a trail blazer and became the only Latin American team in the first FIFA Interactive Club World Cup (FICWC) in London.
