This project was inspired by an NPR podcast which discussed discrepancies in the beauty industry regarding race, toxicity of makeup, and overall diversity in the beauty industry. I was inspired to delve deeper into this and really wanted to give a girly, pastel, upbeat vibe that somewhat offset the darker, more ominous truth to this project. I found that keeping the font simple and letting the design do the talking was the most effective way to approach this project. In this instance, I think the facts speak for themselves and the design aids the overall aim of this project.
