Cerebral Introspection (Motion graphic below)

In order for me to get "in the zone" and achieve high levels of creativity and originality, it is very important that I immerse myself deeply in my own psyche and access very real aspects of my subconscious. These aspects are not always clearly definable. I find this process deeply empowering and introspective. I have in the past likened it to drawing from a well of power, I believe humans do have a lot of strength and power embedded within their subconscious, and that one can develop and utilise this if one takes the time to practice certain introspective trains of thought.

As well as drawing inspiration from this well, it is also necessary to shape this acquired power into something memorable. This can be done by glorifying and exaggerating such power to make it seem world-conquering and all-powerful.

I also use fantastical analogy, with reference to void, chasm, abyss, wraiths, pits and shadows. These can represent obstacles or dark places within my subconscious. I am indeed not always entirely sure what they represent, and I do not think I need to know. The point is, all this is achieved - can ONLY be achieved - through the ability to visualise. A highly immersive level of visualisation is required in order to create this strong art.

In order to get into this frame of mind, it is necessary to create a very different reality in my mind, an introspective cerebral environment. Thus, "Cerebral Introspection" is a motion graphic inspired by this psychological environment, the place where I can let my subconscious speak, and I can visualise powerful scenarios.
