一三〇週年彩繪普悠瑪
台灣鐵路是台灣主要的交通運輸系統，過去透過產業運輸帶動經濟發展，如今主要扮演民眾往返台灣各地的重要運輸角色。為紀念臺灣鐵路130週年，透過設計最新型的普悠瑪列車車體，串連在地文化，喚醒旅人及民眾對鐵路運輸的美好行旅記憶。
設計以台灣鐵路第一輛蒸氣火車『騰雲號(1888)』為源頭，接續復興號(1975)、莒光號(1990)、自強號(1996)、太魯閣號(2004)至最新型的普悠瑪列車(2012)，簡潔現代的線條、鮮明討喜的色彩及經典的車頭臉譜呈現台灣鐵路的經典魅力。普悠瑪列車駛過台灣各處經典風景，勾勒出台灣鐵路的時間軸，跨時代的演進帶領大家進入移動式的時光隧道。

130th anniversary,Puyuma Express
Taiwan Railways is the principal transportation system of Taiwan. In the past, it drove economic development through industrial transportation. Today, it plays an important role for passengers traveling to all parts of Taiwan. In commemoration of the 130th anniversary of Taiwan Railways, a new design was made for the exterior of the newest model of the Puyuma Express. It is hoped to interconnect all of Taiwan's local cultures and remind the people of their memorable railway travel experiences.
The design is based on Taiwan Railways’ first steam locomotive, Tengyun (1888), followed by Fuhsing (1975), Chukuang (1990), Tzechiang (1996), Taroko (2004) as well as the newest model of the Puyuma express (2012). Its sleek, modern lines, bright and pleasing colors, and vintage locomotive-head painting display the classic charm of Taiwan Railways. The Puyuma express travels through the memorable scenic spots of Taiwan and outlines the time line of Taiwan Railways. The evolution of the times leads us through a moving time tunnel.
