My digital name-card
Dealing with moving images is a brand new challenge to me through out my study. When the element of time is introduced to graphic design, it becomes another aesthetic experience. Besides, this medium is powerful and is able to create a great tension between the audience and the work. Allowing more rooms to play with the time, the concept of stop motion was explored in this project. Great attention was spent on the details and possibilities that visual effects could happen on the timeline. Considering even a small unit of time, changes in visual could stir audience emotion effectively. Meanwhile, great efforts were also put on matching the visuals with music rhythm. Careful adjustment between them would strongly enhance the whole experience of the video.
When it comes to the concept of the name-card, the element of water has been adopted. The whole theme of the design is playing with the interaction between the water surface and types. Water acts as a rich medium for types to transform, breakdown or combine. By using these rapidly changes of forms to bring out the characteristic of my name-card.
