Esme is a fictitious brand I created to push myself creatively. The project consists of brand identity, custom illustration, art direction, photography, and package design. It is a high-end, 100% natural, and vegan skincare brand that is not only nourishing to skin, but it is also made sustainably; to love your skin and the earth.
The concept behind the project was based on the earth. All of Esme's products are 100% natural, with part of the brand mission being to take care of the environment for future generations. Even the name "Esme" means "to love." I highlighted this mission in the identity with the organic shapes of the leaves and natural colors/materials (glass bottles, aluminum caps, recycled paper boxes). Using gouache, I painted a variety of leaves to look lively and organic. I contrasted the organic illustration with a more reserved, elegant, and geometric typeface to elevate the brand and appeal to higher paying customers. The brand encapsulates the holistic, upscale, and strong personality of Esme skincare.
