Here comes a comparatively small bird-of-paradise, living in the mountainous forests of New Guinea. Its brow-plumes can reach a length of up to 50cm, which is more than double the bird's own size. You can imagine that they make a fancy accessory. The Archbold's bowerbirds think so as well and collect them to beautify their very own nests. The natives of New Guinea call the King of Saxony by the name of Kiss-a-ba, referring to the peculiar call of the male birds.
