With predictions that 75% of us will live in cities by 2050, many in a mere 35m2 area, furniture will need to get smart and compact.
For this project, I have come closer to what is couch for people and what feelings they have for it. From that, the idea is to accomodate when they have a friend over.
Let me present you ALOW, a small sofa which can be transformed into a bed or a bench.
By sliding half of the structure, Alow discloses various uses.
Once deployed, with the help of a piece of fabric, the structure becomes a screen for more privacy.
The steel frame structure highlights the functions of Alow. In one side, it creates a handle to deploy the bench and on the other side, it contains the cushions.
