This is a personal project I created as a concept for a fictional Huggies ad campaign. The image is a satire of the situation parents fall into where they are physically drained of all their energy once a baby comes into their life. The point brought forward here is that the diaper makes the baby so comfortable and happy that it doesn't cry at all. The colours used convey a cheerful environment and makes the whole composition eye catchy.
The main character in the ad is a representation of my niece and is based on her looks.

Behind the Sketchpad
The initial sketches were made on paper. Real life references were used for the faces. These sketches were scanned and went through different stages to get to the final rendering. The characters were traced and coloured separately and brought together in photoshop and then colour corrected.

Individually each of the characters were painted with a single colour palette with the scanned images as references.
The final pass before the background was added to the composition.
