Offprint Paris
Offprint Paris is an art publishing fair for emerging practices in art, and a platform and meeting place for artists, photographers and designers. The Offprint Paris series consists of posters that show distorted typography and posters that show clear typography. The posters with distorted typography are hung outside, in public space. The text isn’t easy to read, and only a passer-by with interest in the imagery or typography would stop to read the poster. The posters with clear typography are hung inside bookstores, museums and cultural institutions, where there is a good chance passers-by are already interested in the event. This way, the location of the posters work like a filter, narrowing the public for Offprint Paris to those who would most likely be interested in such an event.
