Dia D is an event by IPCA, in the city of Barcelos, which celebrates and promotes Graphic and Industrial Design. Every year, influential Portuguese designers are invited to speak about their work and share their views on Design, leading up to a conversation with the audience. 
 
For the event’s fourth edition, I delved into its associations with
the Normandy landings (also known as D Day) by appropriation of military symbology and waponry, both intrinsically connected with Graphic and Industrial Design. The compositions and graphic identity were developed using symbols from military maps, charts and manuals, overlaying the nuclear warhead.
