What is Wabitea
Wabitea is a branding identity for a tea commerce company that is seeking to revolutionize the experience of one of the oldest drinks in history. Wabitea brings custom teas to health-conscious customers in a tranquil environment with a simplistic voice. Helping them feel more mindful and be re-energized.
In other words, Wabitea is inspired by Zen Buddhist philosophy and tradition. One of the very greatest Zen thinkers was Sen no Rikyū, and he involved himself in teaching people how to drink tea in consoling and therapeutic ways. His particular focus was the tea ceremony, which Rikyū believed to hold a superlative potential to promote wabi-sabi. Wabi-Sabi, is a way of living that focuses on finding beauty within the imperfection of life and accepting peacefully to the natural cycle of growth and decay.
My ultimate goal for this project was to make the brand more recognizable and different among other tea companies out there. I invented the company from scratch since I am a tea enthusiast and wanted to explore something I love. Hope you enjoy and inspires you to drink tea.
