Synopsis

The film presents the way in which the native population of a round-shaped planet reacts at the encounter with a character of a different physical appearance. The latter is a character of a square form who is not accepted by the inhabitants of the planet and he is bullied by them. The native population changes the square-shaped character by modifying his initial shape and transforming him into a rounded-one.

Director's statement

The themes approached by this short are racism, intolerance, and migration. These present in an abstract way the influence of social groups and cultural stereotypes. The abstract shape of the characters represents the main conflict of the film. At the moment, these themes are relevant to the European context. The round-shaped characters reflect a conservatory way of thinking that lack cultural diversity. This kind of characters imposes their point of view by means of violence.
