Seedling gift tags: seedlings were given as gifts to the wedding guests. They featured the quote: "He Who Plants Kindness, Gathers Love" —Saint Basil
I chose this quote because it encapsulates a simple truth of love while also alluding to the somewhat woodsy theme of our wedding. The gift of the seedling is based off a Scandinavian tradition (Colby and I are both Norwegian to varying degrees) in which a pair of small evergreen trees are given as gift to the bride and groom to be planted on either side of their home's front door to symbolize their future children. We followed this tradition by having 2 small spruces on either side of us at the top of the aisle.
