ASIA-PACIFIC LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE ON GENDER AND CLIMATE CHANGE
USAID LEAF
USAID LEAF works side by side with their local partners to slow climate change
by developing strategies to sustainably reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the forestry and land use sector
Over a five-year implementation period from 2011-2016, the United States Agency for International Development’s Lowering Emissions in Asia’s Forests (USAID LEAF) program delivered significant results against its overall objective of strengthening the capacity of target countries to achieve meaningful and sustained reductions in greenhouse gas emissions from the forestry-land use sector.
For two years, USAID LEAF strengthened 24 Gender Champions from six countries in the Asia-Pacific Leadership Initiative on Gender and Climate Change. This brochure shows a timeline of events, strategies, results, and personal stories of the champions.
