Sovereignty
Bound by mistakes of the old,
My silent screams -- untold.
I will not hesitate to vacate,
No more holding with hate,
For the sake of my beliefs.
Sheltered
After she led a poignant
Sheltered life for forever,
Now she's finally here,
Distant from the sheltering sky.
Bittersweet
Tormented with expectations,
Regardless of my existence,
How strange it was,
Not to be the chosen one.
Eerie
My cherry-red lips sealed tight,
While holding the light,
Waiting for a miracle,
In the eerie bleak winter.
