After I've started to work in a branding&packaging studio in Prague my perception of graphic design changed 180 degrees. I used to believe that the main aims of design are problem solving, communication and aesthetics. Now I know for sure that design has a much bigger power.
Design can tell important stories, draw attention to social issues, help solve environmental problems and raise political questions. So I made 30 tiles with different illustrations and placed them around Prague  not only to highlight many issues that are faced by our society, but mainly to remind us that we have power to change things around us. Today we have more opportunities than ever to take action that has an impact.
The project started with a research and listing the topics I'd like to cover.
Next stage was to find materials and technique. After few tests I've decided to make tiles myself and paint them with acrylic paint, after- coat them with resin to give them shiny finished look and to make them more durable.
When the tiles were done I've started to research what places in Prague are connected to the topics,  made a digital map of them and placed the tiles around the city.
After I illustrated map and printed tiles as a set of stickers with addresses, so you could find them and place the stickers on the map.
