Stempel Garamond History - The selection of the Stempel Garamond font was because of its versatile nature. I began with something I considered safe with all the traditional colors that I love so much, but after really playing with color variations, I decided to display something that offered what drew me to use this font from the beginning its unique character and clean style. This font originated from French Type Designer Claude Gagamond (1480-1561) who was influenced by Francesco Griffo during the renaissance time period. D. Stempel transformed his work into flawless and managed to maintain its classic, presentation style when he converted Garamond's punch cuts into a typeface. It has an organic structure resembling a hand written stroke. 

The colors show the versatility and style the user can display, fun or formal. This typeface is heavily used as type text in books, but also used in posters, movie titles, and wedding announcements.
