Nuptialism



Developped during a one month residency at the Château Ephemère, Nuptialism is an installation which consists on seducing a paradise bird. Inspired from the strange and intriguing nuptial displays of those unknow birds, the sepectator has to wear a costume made of a skirt and a pair of wings, and to face a projected bird that reacts to movement and color. One then has to dance, parade and find the right dance moves that will entice the digital bird. Depending on the dance, diffrent birds can appear, triggering various rythms and musics, that corresponds species of paradise birds, inspired by the ones found in nature. (wings and a skirt)
