Fisher Jeffries is a Law firm in Adelaide that hosts a competition to design their Christmas card for aspiring designers every year.

The idea for my design for the Fisher Jeffries Christmas card came from idea generation and combining objects that related to Christmas and Fisher Jeffries. The main focus of the card is the tie. I chose to use a warm red colour as it relates to Christmas and also contrasts well with the white shirt and cool gray suit.

I made the tie turn into a Christmas tree as a fun way to show the Christmas theme but also keeping the card looking professional. I wanted to make a simple card in the layout and design. But still keep the visuals on the card interesting. I originally wanted to have a perforated outline around the tie, but this would have caused it to go over budget. So to compromise I put an annotation showing that you can simply cut the tie out yourself to use as a bookmark.
