Sowela Student Art Show Poster
Last semester, the graphic arts department held a small contest to determine who would create the poster for the fall semester art show.
The focal point of the poster had to imagery accompanying a quote of our choosing. After a few minutes of digging, I found a saying that really resonated with me and would also serve as a basis for a great design:
"Curiosity is the Wick in the Candle of Learning"
I thought about how I could take the piece a step further, and decided to draw over the image on a different layer in Photoshop. Following that, I proceeded to import the sketch into Illustrator where I would begin to trace each individual puff of smoke into a vector, which makes it easier to manipulate.

Three days of fine tuning, and it's ready to compete!
