Pond Farm Pottery
Brand Identity

An artist colony turned school, Pond Farm Pottery was central to the California Studio Pottery movement. Led by Bauhaus trained potter Marguerite Wildenhain, her teachings blended craft and philosophy—inspiring intense devotion from her students. We worked with Stewards of the Coast, (the organization responsible with the caretaking of Pond Farm) to reintroduce Pond Farm to the world. In close collaboration with former students, collectors and other members of the community we developed the first true branding for the historic site, drawn from it’s decades-long story. The result does not simply honor Pond Farm’s history, but evokes the atmosphere and energy of the seminal school.
