Stacey: sorry I can't i'm real busy at work.

Kenneth: oh ok how about tomorrow then? is one Ok?

Stacey: I'ma have to get back to you. we will keep in touch.

Kenneth: Ok well call me when you are not busy. Talk to you soon goodbye.

Stacey: bye.

Stacey hangs up a little furious at herself for not noticing a ring on his hand. she calls Patricia.

Patricia: hey

Stacey: he's married.

Patricia: he is?

Stacey: yup, I just called his office and the lady at the front desk asked me if I was his wife.

Patricia: that sucks.

Stacey: and he still asked me out to lunch today.

Patricia: what you say?

Stacey: I said no of course.

Patricia: go out with him anyway

Stacey: for what?

Patricia: doesn't hurt to get to know him a little better. He probably has stockbroker friends he could hook you up with.

Stacey: I don't know Patricia.

Patricia: just do it.

Stacey hangs up with Patricia and thinks a little. She picks up the phone and calls Kenneth cell this time.

Kenneth: hello?

Stacey: hey Kenny it's Stacey if you still wanted to meet for lunch i'm available.

Kenneth: Ok, is one good?

Stacey: yea that's fine.

Kenneth: I'll meet you downstairs at the lobby.

Stacey: see you soon. 

Kenneth: goodbye.

Stacey hangs up with a mixture of anxious and nervous feelings.Stacey boss walks in.

Boss: Stacey I need you to do a deposition in Brooklyn at one today.

Stacey: I have something to do at one.

Boss: like what?

Stacey: something personal. Can't the second attorney go?

Boss: nope. you are the winner.

Stacey: where in Brooklyn?

Boss: Kings County

Stacey: where is that?

Boss: google it.

Boss leaves the office.

Stacey calls Kenneth to cancel. He doesn't pick up. Stacey leaves a voicemail.

1:00 PM

Stacey is getting off the elevator and sees Kenneth waiting for her downstairs.

Kenneth: hey

Stacey: hey did you get my message?

Kenneth: yes I did and I have no problem driving you.

Stacey: Kenny you don't have to.

Kenneth: I don't but I will.

Kenneth opens the passenger side of his silver Mercedes. He gets in and drive off.

Stacey: So... what are you going eat for lunch?

Kenneth: I'll just grab a slice on the way back.

Stacey looks at his left hand and notices it has no ring.

Stacey: so..... are you seeing anyone?

Kenneth: are you?

Stacey: I asked you first.

Kenneth: I asked you second.

Stacey: no I'm not seeing anyone. Can you say the same?

Kenneth: yes

Stacey: really?

Kenneth: yes, I'm tired of the games women play.

Stacey: I'm tired of the games men play. Especially the lying y'all men do.

Kenneth: Not all men lie.

Stacey is eager to confront him about her being mistakenly called his wife, but she holds back and wait to see if he will eventually mention it.

Stacey: not all most.

Kenneth: females lie too don't get it twisted.

Stacey: yea they do but not me. If I'm married I will let any man know that's trying to kick game to me that I'm married. As a matter of fact I will always wear my ring.

Kenneth: OK, where the hell did that come from?

Stacey: I'm just saying.

Kenneth: I agree with you Stacey.

Stacey: you do?

Kenneth: yea I do.

Stacey: so where's your ring?

Kenneth: What?

Stacey: your ring.

Kenneth: what ring?

Stacey: the one should be wearing right now when you're married.

Kenneth looks at Stacey with a surprised look on his face.
